MHz Choice to release ‘Rivals Forever’, the true story behind Adidas and Puma

Washington: On February 26th, 2019, MHz Choice will premiere two limited series from Germany. Rivals Forever, the epic true story of the two brothers behind iconic international brands Adidas and Puma and Redemption Road, about a German-Jewish family torn apart by the Nazis and World War II.

Rivals Forever is from the producers of Academy Award® winner The Lives of Others and written by International Emmy® Award Winner Christoph Silber. Rivals Forever (2 x 90’) is inspired by true events and tells the gripping family saga of German brothers Adi and Rudi Dassler, who founded a sports shoe company in their Bavarian hometown. Their success gained them great fame but their differences lead to mistrust and ultimately a bitter parting of ways and the creation of two separate companies, Adidas and Puma. It was a legendary rivalry that shaped their lives and persisted until the end.

Redemption Road (2×90’) is from the International Emmy® Award winning team behind Deutschland 83 and Generation War. After his family is split apart by the Nazis, a German-Jewish judge faces even greater hardship after the war as he attempts to reunite with his family and find justice and restitution. Redemption Road is based on the award-winning novel by Ursula Krecheland and stars Ronald Zehrfeld (The Weissensee Saga, Line of Separation, The People vs. Fritz Bauer) and Johanna Wokalek (Pope Joan, The Baader Meinhof Complex).
