Strictly Global Looking for Its First Video of 2011

FALLS CHURCH, VA – MHz Worldviews' Strictly Global, a two-hour TV show featuring music videos from throughout the globe, has partnered with Sonicbids, the website that helps bands get gigs and promoters book the right bands, to find the first music video that will air in 2011.

Strictly Global introduces viewers to music videos they won’t find anywhere else from nations all over the globe, where Asian reggae stars, Hip-Hop from India, Australian country music and African electro-pop are meshed with underground independent rock, pop, soul, and more. Through this partnership, Strictly Global is looking for talented bands, singers and musicians who tell the stories of their culture, history or unique perspective. Artists should submit music videos or footage of their band performing and telling the audience who they are and what makes them a global citizen. For consideration, bands can be any genre and have lyrics in any language, but must be independent and globally-minded.

A video from one selected Sonicbids artist will be aired exclusively on MHz Networks’ national channel at midnight EST on New Year's 2011 and again on January 4th and 5th.

Strictly Global has a nationwide US viewership of over 34 million households and is available through 30 broadcast and cable affiliates, as well as DIRECTV channel 2183 and G-19 satellite, channel 949. Artists registered with a PRO such as ASCAP, BMI, or SESAC will eligible to receive performance royalties after their music is broadcast.

The deadline to submit your music is December 14, 2010. See here for more details.
