FALLS CHURCH, VA- MHz Networks' broadcast partner CCTV unveils new programs on its 24/7 channel from 6-10 PM ET daily. New CCTV shows also debut nationally on MHz Worldview.
Veteran anchor Anand Naidoo hosts a new Monday-Friday talk program, THE HEAT, at 9:15 PM ET on CCTV News, which is available on MHz Networks 3 in the Washington, D.C. area. The program is broadcast from CCTV America’s Washington, D.C. studios, and aims to stir up vigorous debate and discussion of international issues.
CCTV News is available on MHz Networks 3 in the Washington, DC area on digital channel 30.3, Comcast 273, Cox 472, RCN 32, and Verizon FiOS 458.
On Friday, April 11, THE HEAT, talks to Canadian Astronaut Chris Hadfield. Hadfield, a veteran of three space missions, gained fame as “the most social media savvy astronaut ever to leave Earth." His tweets from the International Space station in 2013 earned him more than a million followers. Before returning to earth, Hadfield, with guitar in orbit, performed from the space station a version of David Bowie’s "Space Oddity." The video drew more than 20 million views on YouTube.
Beginning April 12 on MHz Worldview, FULL FRAME premieres nationally at 11 PM ET. FULL FRAME is a weekly, one-hour talk program focusing on cultural and living issues that target a global audience.
And on April 13, AMERICAS NOW joins the schedule at 11 PM ET. AMERICAS NOW is a broadcast news magazine with investigative reports, including hard news, personality profiles, and feature pieces.
The shows continue Saturdays and Sundays, respectively.
