Children’s Block to Launch on MHz Worldview This Spring

FALLS CHURCH, VA-  MHz Networks will launch a brand new block of programming nationally on MHz Worldview March 6. Premiering at 10 AM ET, the weekly block includes the best in children’s entertainment and learning from all over the world.

The block launches on MHz Networks 1 (MHz Worldview DC) in the Washington DC market on Sundays at 3 PM ET, beginning March 7.

Known as ShorTV, the programming block nods to the name of the MHz Networks international film festival, The Shortie Awards, as well as the awards’ mascot, Shortie. Both Shortie and the festival support and promote youth created media throughout the world.

Elizabeth Pringle, MHz Networks Education Director says, “While the approaches of the shows may all be different, the values are the same. ShorTV is a child’s window to programs, cultures and perspectives from all over the world.”

Throughout the episodes, viewers will experience a wide array of children’s programs appropriate for various age ranges. Films produced for The Shortie Awards by global youth, ages 7-18, will also be incorporated into the programming block.
